Well last Friday October 19th, the day Ian had been waiting for all year finally arrived. It was his birthday and he turned the magic age of 5. I don't know what it is about kids turning 5, it must be that they believe that they are finally a big kid. It is hard for me to believe that he is indeed a "big boy".
Ian is such a sweet little boy with lots and lots of energy, he is very smart and comes up with some of the funniest sayings I have ever heard. We are happy to have him as a son/little brother/big brother.
For his birthday celebration we took him to Burger King ( his choice) , and then off to Walmart to pick out a big boy bike. ( within reason of course.) He quickly picked out a bike and rode it through the store to the check out.
Also the day before his birthday he had his special day at school, where he got to make a special crown, and wear a special shirt.
It was a great day. Happy birthday Ian.
