Giving Thanks

This past weekend we celebrated Thanksgiving. This year we hosted David's parents, his sister Sarah and her family, and his brother Jim and his family. All in all there were 8 adults and 8 children ranging in age from 6 to 3months ( the kids that is.) We made it through with few mishaps, other than the turkey thermometer popping up before the turkey was fully cooked, dinner was great. And Dave and his brother managed to cut some of the turkey off and cook it under the broiler so we were able to eat turkey with the rest of our meal.
We had a great weekend spending time with family, eating , shopping, playing games etc. Thanks to everyone who came and helped out! I am very thankful for health, happiness and eternal families.
If you ask my kids what the best part of the weekend was they will undoubtedly say "breakfast and swimming." In that order. Huh ? Well you see Grandma Tina and Grandpa Pat stayed at the Fairfield Inn, they invited the 3 oldest grandkids (Noah, Ian, and Madeline) to stay with them. The hotel had a pool, and they went swimming every night. And even once during the day with they other grandkids, while the moms went shopping. But the best was the continental breakfast where they could pick what ever they wanted to eat. They are still talking about it!! Horray for Grandma and Grandpa.
