Baseball Blues.. .

This event took place the first Friday night in may but I am only now sitting down to tell about it. The kids were very excited because Dad had gotten tickets to the Indians game. I was excited because as luck would have it they were tickets for the loge. We told the boys a few days in advance in hope that we could use it as a privilege for behaving themselves during the week. It worked and for the most part. :) Anyway it rained all that day, but stopped a few hours before it was time to leave. So when Dave got home from work we headed to the ballpark. Soon after we got to our seats the rain came , and came and came. We waited for about 1 hr. eating hot dogs and watching the Cav's game on the jumbotron. They finally called the game. Oh how disappointed the boys were. They were so upset, so we ended up at dairy queen with the hopes that the next game would be better. Oh and on our way out of the stadium we did run in to Mark Shapiro and exchanged hellos.

And the rain began to fall.

Ammon inside because he was afraid there would be fireworks

Noah and Ian waiting and waiting

That's awesome that you got to sit in "Lodge" sitting, but what a bummer that it rained and rained! Your poor kids...they were so sad! At least you got to enjoy the rain covered!!

It's all my fault! I've been praying for rain so my students will not be distracted by good weather so they can focus on their end of the year test. Sorry! We're done testing now, so I'll pray for good weather. :)

so sorry. What a pain to get the kids all loaded up and excited to watch... the rain. Good thing you had good snacks.

We're sorry it rained on your Indians baseball game. Usually, that is a good thing for the Cubs because it keeps us from losing another game but this year we're actually winning some games. We'll have to go to a baseball game with you sometime this year.
