This was our last full day in NYC. By this day morale was slipping a little bit, but we managed to pull it together and have a nice day. We woke up and took Aunt Aprizzle ( thats what the kids called her the entire time she was with us) to the train station where she then headed to Penn station and then back to DC. The rest of us headed to The Museum of Natural History. You may recall the movie "Night at the Museum" took place here. So we went around trying to find all the things that were in the movie, which we soon came to find out weren't all really in the museum. But we had a good time looking at the dinosaurs, and cool dioramas. After our visit to the museum we headed home took a short rest and then took a walk to the United Nations building (which was just a block from our apartment) sadly none of the flags were up, but we found a cool little playground where we let the kids play for a while. We then walked and found a NY style pizza place for dinner. It was super yummy. I will say that after experiencing both Chicago style and NY style pizza, NY is definitely the superior. We then took the kids back home put them to bed, and then packed up our belongings so we could leave and go back to Ohio.
The next morning we woke up got breakfast, Dave hailed a taxi which took us back to NJ airport and our van. We then began the long trip home, which really wasn't that bad.
We had a fantastic trip! Everyone really had a good time and the kids were really well behaved. I told Dave I would love to see NY again, but maybe we could leave the kids at home.
